• Abstract : Isolation and regeneration of protoplasts from a banana embryogenic cell suspension from in vitro proliferating meristem. Description of the method, the material used and the experimental conditions enabling the formation of microcolonies with a frequency of 20-40 percent. They developed directly into somatic embryos without intervention of the callus phase. The somatic embryos germinated and grew into plants.
